VISIONAPARTMENTS gains foothold in Lucerne
60 FURNISHED rooms IN THE CITY CENTRE
Lucerne, 22 January 2020 – Continuing its expansion course, the Swiss market leader in the serviced apartment sector is adding another property to its portfolio. The company purchased the Hotel Fox in Lucerne and developed 60 fully furnished rooms, partly with kitchenettes, in the typical VISIONAPARTMENTS’ style. In addition to the accommodation, the building will offer a sauna and an external restaurant. The key location in close proximity to the train station represents the ideal choice for business travellers and tourists alike.
After the opening of a new apartment house in Zug in 2017, VISIONAPARTMENTS intensifies its presence in central Switzerland by buying the previous Hotel Fox and developing 60 rooms in the heart of Lucerne. The accommodations at Neustadtstrasse 16 opened under the VISIONAPARTMENTS’ brand and offers modern interiors. As part of the service, ancillary costs, Wi-Fi, digital TV and weekly cleaning will be included in the rental price. Guests who would like to discover the area, have direct access to plenty of restaurants, shops, cinemas and the main station of Lucerne.
Attractive location for business travellers and tourists alike
Lucerne is one of the most popular tourism destinations in Switzerland. However, the Canton of Lucerne also offers firms the lowest corporate tax rate in whole Switzerland. This favourable economic environment uniquely equips companies with the best possible conditions and is therefore of high interest to business visitors. “Thanks to the entrepreneurial-friendly environment and the central setting, our new VISIONAPARTMENS’ site is very promising. The local, national and international vibe can be found all over the city,” explains Pawel Gawor, CEO of VISIONAPARTMENTS Management Services GmbH. “On top of that, Lucerne is equally a cultural hub with various key activities that attract leisure travellers in need of a prime location. We are extremely excited to open our first rooms in Lucerne.”
Furniture donations to the non-profit organization Remar
As part of the development of this planned project, VISIONAPARTMENTS installed its own furniture in the building. The previous hotel equipment was all donated to Remar, a charity organization that operates street kitchens, children and women shelters and helps drug abusers to find a way out of their addiction. The furniture donated by VISIONAPARTMENTS was sold in one of the Remar second-hand stores, helping to finance the charitable projects.
VISIONAPARTMENTS specializes in renting out stylish and furnished serviced apartments all around the world. Established in Switzerland in 1999, the company quickly grew from a start-up to Switzerland’s market leader with a global presence. Today, VISIONAPARTMENTS offers tailored temporary living solutions in over 850 business locations worldwide. visionapartments.com
